SHEATHE: Xenobiotic substances and heavy metals in the environment – a threat to health, ecosystems and development in Ghana
The Ghana Chemical Society (GSC) held its 19th annual conference and general meeting at the University of Cape Coast on the theme: Environmental Pollution and Food Security on Ghana.
In attendance were two PhD Students on the Sheathe project - Mr. Opoku Gyamfi presented on the topic “Human health risk due to exposure to indoor mercury vapour in Artisanal Small Scale Gold Mining Community , Gbani, Bolgatanga" and Mr. Michael Assibey who made a presentation on the topic, “A review on the Implementation of the extended producer responsibility principle: Policy direction for Ghana's E-waste sector to reducing environmental pollution ."
